EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING

September 14, 2009

Minutes

Board Members Present:  David Maudsley, President; Ned Lizotte, Vice President; Carol Kenneson, Clerk; and Barbara Dutile, Member-at-Large

Also Present:  Holly Maudsley; Shawn Bigelow, North Haverhill District Commissioner; and Mike Lavoie, Precinct of Haverhill Corner Fire Chief

D. Maudsley called the meeting to order at 12:50 p.m. in a conference room at Haverhill Corner Fire Station.  D. Maudsley welcomed the attendees and gave a brief overview of the importance of village districts.  The Board reviewed the July 20 and August 17 meeting minutes.  B. Dunn moved and N. Lizotte seconded the motion to approve the minutes for July 20 as written.  So voted.  N. Lizotte moved and D. Maudsley seconded the motion to approve the minutes for August 17 as written.  So voted.

REPORT OF THE TREASURER:  The Board reviewed and approved the treasurer’s report.      

NEW BUSINESS:  None

LEGISLATIVE ISSUES:  None

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:   

1. The Board discussed the vacant Member-at-Large position.  C. Kenneson moved and B. Dunn seconded the motion to appoint Holly Maudsley as Member-at-Large.  So voted.
2. The Board discussed the plans for the December symposium.  N. Lizotte reported that Peter Schauer of Schauer Environmental is willing to sit at the round table discussion to discuss Shoreline Protection.
3. C. Kenneson distributed the finalized introduction for the Internal Controls section of the administrative manual and draft checklists.
4. The Board discussed the technical bulletin and determined the topics that will be included.  The first bulletin is scheduled to be mailed in January 2010.

NEXT REGULAR MEETING:  The next regular Executive Board Meeting will be held at the Village District of Eidelweiss in Madison on October 5, 2009 at 12:30 p.m.

On a motion by N. Lizotte, seconded by C. Kenneson, the meeting was adjourned at 2:40 p.m.
